True, the USSR actually managed to keep its film industry away from lascivious scenes, which have been seen sometimes in foreign flicks. But, willingly or unwillingly, at times even the Soviet censorship failed to prevent somewhat playful scenes in the Red Empire’s films. Let us review several examples of mildly erotic moments, played by Soviet film actors.
Magnificent musical Cossacks of the Kuban, released in 1950, contains a scene, where its heroine has inadvertently put a horse-collar on her friend. War drama The Cranes Are Flying, released in 1957, first shows unorthodox love games of a worker and his girlfriend in the prewar Moscow. Then, in the wartime Moscow, the worker’s cousin, a pianist, dutifully tolerates her slaps in the face in order to marry the girl. Meanwhile, the worker himself fights the Nazis at the front. Teenage drama Scarecrow, released in 1983, shows a school beauty, who (changing her place at a classroom) arrogantly tells her classmate: “From now on, you are my slave!”
