The Most Irrelevant Road Signs in the World

Road signs have a distinct purpose to regulate vehicular traffic, visibly assisting both drivers and pedestrians. The signs must be located in places, where society needs them most. Otherwise, their noble status can become a ridicule. Let us cite an appropriate example in order to illustrate this rule. Any suggestions of other instances of irrelevant road signs are welcome.

Crosswalk signs in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

In Almaty, Kazakhstan, just below the intersection of Kurmangazy and Aimanov streets two signs indicate a crosswalk between a kindergarten and the blank wall of an apartment house. I have never seen anyone getting over this crosswalk from the kindergarten to the blank wall or vice versa. Besides, usually the traffic here is light and there are many other places in Almaty, where they need these signs urgently.
